Banana Cake


Ingredients

Ripe banana - 2-3
All-purpose flour (Maida) - 1 1/2 cup
Butter - 1/2 cup
Egg – 1 at room temperature
Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1 cup
Baking powder- 1 tsp
Salt - a pinch
Cashews/Almonds – chopped 1/4 cup
Raisins - 1/4 cup

Method
1. Mash the bananas and mix the butter and sugar to it.
2. Beat egg separately and add it to the banana mixture.
3. Sieve together salt and baking powder with the flour.
4. Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and fold thoroughly.
5. Dust the raisins with dry flour to prevent it from sinking to the bottom.
6. Add the nuts, raisins and vanilla extract and fold together.

7.  Preheat oven to 350 degree F.  Pour the mixture into a greased pan and bake for 25- 35 minutes.
8. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
